DRAWING INSTRUCTIONS (from my notes on teaching): “three primary ways to create spatial illusion: overlaps, scale change, location on picture plane / touch at least three edges of the page / do not try to put in every detail / erase as often as you draw / add additional pieces of paper to extend the scope of your composition if necessary / consider cropping the page / if you find you are bored stop . . .”
