Here goes nothing, You were transferring to the Manhattan bound F train, I think you saw me too, I was not avoiding you, You had the most beautiful feet, I was wearing all black, Please be funny, You were wearing Vans, I should have approached you, I froze before I could say anything, It was rush hour, I never got to thank you properly, Why did you look so sad, I see you most mornings, I loved your hair, You had on a green hoodie, The L train was going express or so we thought, I can still envision you walking past me, I helped you get the hanging hardware from way high up, You made me laugh, We shared a taxi, You left very fast, We talked for almost two hours, I can still hear your heels clicking past me, Woman with French horn in a backpack, I meant to say something else entirely, Thanks for helping me during the flood, We made small talk in Whole Foods, I loved your energy, We were standing by the meat looking at steaks , I can’t forget you
