Each handwritten phrase or sentence is mapped into paint as a particular color and mark. In some works, like this one, writing is diagrammed twice, into larger and smaller grids.

This painting records contractual language from government regulations and consumer agreements. All phrases were preceded by “YOU AGREE NOT TO. . .“
